|
Further information: Eddy Morton |
|
This evening Eddy will be introducing his immensely successful Stourbridge Evening made up of local talented artistes: first, the Worcester/Malvern-based band Splatt! setting the scene with their distinct sound which explores the pagan/celtic roots of English and Irish folk using traditional and modern instruments. Ben Smith is a Birmingham-born gypsy songwriter whose music is an earthy blend of British and American folk styles. Eddy (formerly part of the New Bushbury Mountain Daredevils) is well known at the club and his music is drawn from many different styles from early 20th-century poetry to the likes of Donovan, Led Zeppelin and Roy Harper. Tonight he may be joined by Paul and Aidan O'Brien. |
