Brian Meades

It is with the greatest regret that we have to announce the death of Brian Meades, our sound man. He had been an essential part of the club for many years, not only in his public role as our sound man every Saturday, without fail, but also as a valued friend and mentor. His knowledge of Folk and of the performers was unsurpassed and his judgement was always sound. He will be sorely missed.

 

Brian became ill at the beginning of May but in spite of considerable pain continued to operate the sound desk for our last few concerts. He was admitted to hospital after our last concert and died early this morning

 

Our sincere condolences go to his wife Pat and to all his family.
