New to the club, this group have deservedly become immensely popular since they formed in 2001. Hailing from Stoke-on-Trent, they already have four albums to their name and their fourth, The Black Dog and other Stories, released in 2006, is tremendous. The group are Gary Wilcox, Phil Hulse and Duncan Wilcox - all vocalists, and between them playing percussion, guitar, bouzouki, harmonica, double bass, mandolin and fiddle. Their songs react to the ever-changing social scene and also encapsulate local legend and local traditions. Tonight they will launch their newest album; this is guaranteed to raise the band's profile on to another level. |
