It's that time of the year again - always popular, we welcome back Dave Cousins, Dave Lambert and their '70's band member Chas Cronk. The Classic Rock Society recently presented Dave Cousins with the lifetime Achievement Award, celebrating 30 years in rock music. Ever since the group hit the charts on both sides of the Atlantic in the early '70s with their 'Part of the Union' and 'Lay Down' they have remained firm favourites and their last album 'Deja Fou', released in 2004, was a forerunner to the most intensive international tour the band had ever undertaken in its 35-year history. Some of these songs will go down among the classics of this age. Supporting the Strawbs tonight will be Breeze and Wilson who were extremely popular when they played at the Club last spring. |
