After many years singing as part of Waterson:Carthy, Tim is now pursuing a glittering career either alone or with his own band Van Eyken or as part of the Tim van Eyken Trio. After winning BBC Radio 2's award for 'Best Traditional Song' with his 'Barleycorn' in 2007 he landed a part in the National Theatre's winter production of 'Warhorse' in which he plays the part of songman, with music written by John Tams, thus launching his theatrical career. He returns to music life this month and we are delighted that he will be with us so early in his tour. |
